A Stamp in the Hand Company was founded by Kat Okamoto in 1982 with little
more than a handful of great ideas and a passion for rubber stamp art. Today A
Stamp in the Hand distributes the finest quality rubber stamps in Gardena, CA.
Stamps are available on traditional hardwood maple mounts and a new
innovative unmounted system utilizing static cling foam. Since the end of 2004, the
company has been designing a variety of sets cleverly housed in CD jewel cases.
Now stampers can easily adhere dies backed with static cling foam onto
acrylic mounts. So far there are over 50 sets available in a variety of themes.
Each set contains several stamps and is available at a great price.
Kat also began the first art rubber stamp convention aptly called THE
ORIGINAL RUBBER STAMP CONVENTION. In 1999 she acquired the RUBBERAMA
RUBBER STAMP AND PAPER ARTS FESTIVALS. All these shows are now under
The Original Rubber Stamp Convention name. If you’d like to see what rubber
stamping is all about, do join us at one or all of our shows in California.
